Groundify Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Groundify ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Groundify mobile application. The same app supports player and ground owner roles. By using the app, you agree to the section that applies to your role.

1. Who we are

2. Player app — information we collect

• Account: name, email, mobile (+92, OTP), password (securely hashed), optional profile photo
• Bookings: ground, date, slot, court (where applicable), status, payment option (25%/50%/100%), receipt images
• Location: when permitted, for nearby grounds and distances
• Reviews: ratings and comments
• Device data: device type, OS, app version, IP, crash logs, push token (FCM)

3. Owner portal — additional information we collect

• Account profile: first and last name, email, business mobile (OTP verified at sign-up and locked in Profile), verification documents, optional profile photo
• Payment profile: JazzCash mobile number and account holder name for player payments (separate from the locked account mobile)
• Ground data: location, photos, pricing, courts, slot blocks, open/close status
• Operations: booking requests, player contact details needed to fulfil reservations, revenue summaries and monthly statement PDFs

4. How we use information

• Manage accounts, verification, bookings, and availability checks
• Share necessary booking details between players and owners
• Review listings, payment profiles, and support requests (admin staff)
• Send service notifications and prevent fraud
• Improve security and app performance

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share with ground owners or players (booking fulfilment), Groundify administrators (review and support), service providers (Google Firebase, Google Maps), and when required by law.

6. App permissions

Location, camera/photos, and notifications — only as needed for features described above. You can change permissions in device settings.

7. Security & retention

Data is stored using Firebase and encrypted connections. We use role-based access rules so users, owners, and admins can access only data appropriate to their account. We do not store payment card details. Data is kept while your account is active and as required by law or legitimate business needs.

8. Account deletion

Request deletion from Profile in the app. A 48-hour grace period applies; you may cancel by logging in.

Players: You cannot delete your account while you have upcoming or pending bookings. After the grace period, we delete your login account, profile, and notifications. Upcoming or pending bookings are removed. Completed bookings and past reservations may be kept in anonymized form for ground owners: your name becomes Anonymous user; phone, email, user ID, and payment receipt images are removed; dates, amounts, and status remain. Reviews may also stay anonymized (rating and comment kept, name shown as Anonymous user).

Owners: After the grace period, we delete or anonymize your owner account and associated data where possible, including grounds and listings, subject to legal retention (for example, closed monthly PDFs already issued). When a player deletes their account, records on your grounds may remain anonymized as described above.

9. Your rights & children

You may update your profile, delete your account, and contact us about your data. Use Contact us in the app Profile or email igroundify@gmail.com. The app is not for children under 13.

10. International processing & changes

Data may be processed outside Pakistan via our service providers. We may update this policy; the date above will change accordingly.
